Life As I Know It

Hi there! Been too busy to even have time for myself. I havent tumblr-ed (which is something I used to do daily) in days! Let alone update this blog. I have no time to even finish watching all my weekly tv series that I follow and even have to forego some for now. But not exactly complaining.

Life at school is getting better. I'm talking more. I'm actually slowly showing my true colours too (ie. I am silly and such a freaking klutz). Hahaha i actually hit myself on a cupboard while trying to retrieve a paper that was on the floor and fell...in front of the Prinicipal and Senior Teacher. HAHA. And I can't believe I'm saying this too...but I kinda love the kids already. Its frustrating and really really hard when more than one kid cry at the same time and I have to practically scream and run around after them and do things for them, but I kinda am starting to love some of the kids. They are getting slightly attached and I am getting slightly attached to them too. I miss some of them when they don't come to school and I love it when they come up to me and give me random kisses and hugs. I get angry most of the time because of their short attention span, but being 3 year olds I understand that I can't expect too much and should be contented that at least most of the time they do listen to me.

I honestly feel like giving up sometimes but the smiles I see on their faces and their random hugs, kisses and things that they always say, never fail to make my day just a little bit better and erases some of the tiredness I feel after a full day with them. However, I'm still giving myself till end of next month to make a decision. I hope I'll be making the right choice. So much to think about.

Inspire

Just had one whole week of training/orientation at the HQ for my new job. It was a pretty good week i must way. The course helped me a lot. It helped me understand the things I do daily at work better and reminded me of the reason I got into this line of work in the first place. I am actually happier now in my new job, thanks to meeting all these other teachers. I like knowing that there are these people I can talk to and they understand what I am going through. I hope this passion will continue to burn. I have a lot to think about though.

First week.

My first week of school just ended yesterday. It was honestly a culture shock at first. I was stunned slightly by the whole environment. But everyday, things are getting slightly better. The kids are getting slightly more attached and I'm starting to actually love what I'm doing. I hope this love grows. I just wish I won't be as tired as I get everyday anymore.

We had a sendoff for Rachel just now. I was absolutely exhausted from work but meeting the girls honestly instantly made me feel better. It was a fun dinner session complete with lots of laughter and some actual tearing. I can honestly say that I've been having a heart of steel lately and nothing could get me to cry but the idea of Rachel leaving (eventhough it is for a year plus) made me really sad and I choked. I'm going to miss her. I honestly am. Sigh...=(

My favourite season of the X Factor UK is the season in 2010. That year i fell in love with One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson. That year was sooo good in my opinion. The amount of talent was amazing. They were all so different yet they appealed to me.

Above is Rebecca Ferguson's latest single "Too Good To Lose" from her debut album "Heaven". That album is beautiful. Her voice is stunning and the music is just so good. I honestly think that she will give Adele a run for her money soon when she tries to break into the American market. And I won't be surprised if she kicks ass there. I can't wait to see her get so big because I honestly thinks she deserves it.

Spending time with friends

Its technically my last week of freedom before I start work. I wanted to spend as much time with some of my friends as much as possible before I stop having time to do so. Also especially because Rachel is leaving for Sydney soon =(

Met up with Rachel and Nadia to just hang out and shop a little on Thursday. Twas fun! We actually really did spend a lot of time just sitting around and talking rather than anything else. It was really nice. I will miss Rachel so much. I was telling Nadia that it'd feel slightly incomplete when we meet up and shes not around...

Anyway, yesterday night, I met up with Shairah, Fiqqy and Zameer! Ahhhh its been too long! We haven't hung out for so long and it was nice just catching up! I think we should meet more often than once every 6 mths or something lols. I missed laughing like I did and just talking about random things. Even met Aziqa for a bit when she came over to check out modparade for a bit! Nabins with Nini and Aziqa soon I hope!

So...its 2 days left before going back to school. I have no plans for today and tomorrow though. I hope someone calls and make impromptu plans. Dont wanna stay at home! heh.

I went to the centre I am posted to just now to meet the principal. She was nice, very welcoming and encouraging as well. But the most surprising thing was the fact that when i was walking out of the centre to leave, I saw a familiar face in the group of kids. It was my grandniece (my cousin's grandchild)! And I am going to be her teacher! How weird is that?

Can't wait to start work though!

Ed Sheeran is one of my favourite artist in the world ever. I love the emotions he puts into his songwriting and how he likes to try new things with his music. This guy is so talented and just like his own songs, his cover of songs are just as brilliantly wonderful to listen to.

In the Youtube video above, he covered Jessie J's (another brilliant singer-songwriter) "Who You Are" and I think its a beautiful cover of a beautiful song.

Going to start on a pretty exciting journey soon so i decided that I wanted to document things on a new blog and also just write about whatever random things i want like music, fashion, etc (there might be some One Direction as well here and there just to let you know in advance heh).
